Angel of help: support for families in the first year of life

support in the Wellcome team wanted-a matter close to the heart for young families

The Wellcome team, which supports families with a baby in the first year of life, is looking for reinforcements in the Ravensburg district. Over 40 well come angels are already in use to relieve parents practical and in terms of life. Volunteers take over childcare once a week so that parents can rest and recharge their batteries. Now other women are being sought who want to enrich the well come team with their voluntary support.

The well come angels like Susanne, who has been part of the team in the Allgäu since 2019, report on their experiences and their motivation to support families. Susanne explains that she finds it important to relieve parents with young children, as they often have too little time for herself. She gives mothers the opportunity to treat itself to some peace, be it to sleep, for sporting activities or a relaxing bath.

Contact with young families brings Susanne a lot of joy and gratitude. It appreciates the mutual appreciation and the trust that is shown to her. They are particularly fascinated by the joy of the children, their curiosity and creativity with every assignment. Susanne can feel like a child when dealing with children, which is very enriching for them.

With their love for children, their flexibility and reliability are well received by the families. She sees her work at Wellcome as a heart task and always goes into sensitive and respectful for the needs of families.
