The Reute monastery mourns the loss of Sr. M. Philothea Kopp, who died at the impressive age of 100 years. Born on the outskirts of the Black Forest in 1924, she joined the community of Franciscans from Reute in 1954. Her life was shaped by tireless devotion to people and their firm belief in Jesus.

She saw her vocation in leading people to Jesus, and she consistently implemented this in the 70 years of her religious affiliation. Whether in Ravensburg, Biberach, Hohentengen, Reute or Eglofs - she left a trace of love and compassion everywhere.
in the Gut Betha-Haus in Reute died Sister Philothea in early July and is buried in the monastery cemetery. To honor your legacy, a requiem will be held in the monastery chapel on July 9th. Her death may leave a gap, but your love and commitment will continue to live in the hearts of the community.
