Safe school bus ride: Ravensburg police Schult fifth graders!

The Ravensburg police headquarters have organized an exciting school building for fifth classes in Wuchzenhofen to increase the safety of the children. Ms. Doubt gave the students both theoretical knowledge and practical skills that they urgently need to behave properly while driving. Topics such as distraction from smartphones and headphones, behavior at stops and the dangers of the dead angle were in focus.

The children were allowed to put on hand and learned how to open the doors of the bus in an emergency or escape through the roof hatch should the bus overturn. The highlight was a brake test in which the students witnessed the physical forces of full braking at 25 km/h. This educational event was carried out in cooperation with the local transport companies and the school social work in Leutkirch in order to optimize traffic safety for the young passengers.
