Taekwondo DTU Finals in Ravensburg: Local Kristis Fightclub celebrates great success

Engener young fighter athlete fetches gold at Taekwondo DTU Finals in Ravensburg

On Saturday, July 6th, this year's Taekwondo DTU Finals took place in Ravensburg, in which the Kristis Fightclub was able to celebrate great success. This points and ranking tournament attracted a total of 428 fighters from 77 teams and eight nations and served as a qualification for the German and European Championship.

A special surprise was the participation of the team from Nepal, which had the longest journey. Committed young fighter athletes from Engen were also represented among the successful participants. With an outstanding performance, Elisabeth Kompst was able to stand up to the final and clearly choose the fight on points in order to win the gold medal. Yasin Afsar, who was also able to secure the gold medal.

The achievements of Ilayda Afsar, Neela Domiks and Johanna Kompst were also remarkable, who, despite strong international competition, fought their way into the final rounds and each won a bronze medal. Coach Kristijan Balja praised the hard work and preparation of his athletes and thanked the parents and spectators for their important support.

The successes of the Kristis Fightclub not only show the talent and the determination of the committed young fighter athletes from Engen, but also the international diversity and competitiveness in Taekwondo. These victories are not only for the athletes themselves, but also for the entire community of Engen is a reason for joy and pride.
