Nasses Volksfest-Wekend: heavy rain and storms expected in Stuttgart!
The second week of the Cannstatt Folk Festival in Stuttgart is already attracting over two million visitors, but the weather puts a strain on the party! On Tuesday, October 8, the German Weather Service expects long -lasting drizzle with up to 10 liters of precipitation per square meter and temperatures of just 16 degrees Celsius. The spokesman for the DWD, Thomas Schuster, warns: "It will rain through until evening!" In the night of Wednesday, it continues to cool down with low values of 8 degrees Celsius, while the changeable weather is supposed to continue throughout the week.
The storm is particularly worrying, which is expected on Thursday with wind speeds of up to 90 km/h and could also bring thunderstorms from the early evening. But there is light at the end of the tunnel! Schuster forecasts a lot of sunshine for the last folk festival weekend, which gives all celebrations the hope of a great conclusion of the 177th Cannstatter folk festival. So the mood remains charged - despite the weather caps! Further Details can be found here .
