Wine days in Schorndorf: enjoyment between tradition and festivity

The Schorndorf wine days have opened their doors again and promised a festival of enjoyment that attracts both locals and visitors. Wine lovers came together in a picturesque backdrop of half -timbered houses and atmospheric lighting to try out a select selection of regional wines. The festive occasion was opened on Friday evening by Thorsten Englert, the first mayor of the city. "For me this is our most beautiful festival, everything just fits here," he said, beaming over the eventful weekend, which was planned for three days. Six wineries presented a total of 106 varieties of wine, accompanied by four gastronomic companies that took care of the physical well -being of the guests.

a tour of the world of pleasure

Under the clear sky of a late summer evening, the marketplace shone in red light and the shine colorful light chains. Alina Giedat from the in -house tourism and city management explained that the impressive lighting can only be installed when the weather is stable. The conditions were finally cheap after the last two years were overshadowed by storms and rain. "It's also very cozy here," noticed Larissa Salcher, the reigning wine queen of Württemberg, who was present as a guest of honor that evening. She had previously visited the wine village in Stuttgart and was visibly enthusiastic about the cozy atmosphere in Schorndorf.

With a warm smile, she reported that she had "struck something at every stand". On their tour over the festive marketplace, nobody dared to ignore the delicious range of wines and dishes. The event combined various tastes and budgets: a glass of dry Schorndorfer Trollinger cost 7 euros, while the noble Pinot Noir GG were over 14 euros.

culinary joys and sociable atmosphere

The Schorndorf wine days not only offered a wealth of wines, but also a variety of culinary delights. From the classic rust bratwurst to the hearty pork crust roast with dark beer sauce and homemade lye dumplings - the selection was almost endless. The desserts, such as sweet crêpes, were also very well received. The festival was accompanied by live music, which created a happy mood. On family Sunday, carriage rides and activities for children were particularly on the plan, which made the event even more attractive.

Insight into the number of visitors was already available at the beginning: Around 1000 guests were accommodated on the long boards on the marketplace. The wine arbor at the town church was also well frequented. Claudia Dorn, whose Sternisen winery took part in the wine days for the first time, described the high demand for white and rosé wines. "We would be happy to come back next year," she explained full of enthusiasm.

The Schorndorf wine days, which were celebrated for the 28th time, once again showed its importance for the region. It was not only a place of conviviality, but also a platform for local wineries to present their products. Thorsten Englert also said: "This is how you can let yourself drive through our beautiful old town." These events are not only a question of enjoyment, but also to respect for regional traditions and their continuation by the community.
