Heating problems in Lennep: Why the heat often does not arrive
residents of apartment buildings with a central heating system know the problem only too well: radiators remain cold, especially at the beginning of the heating season. This mainly affects large residential complexes such as those of the WAG on Hasenberg in Lennep, where a total of 600 apartments are supplied by only two central heating systems. Christoph Pilz, the sustainability manager of the non -profit housing association Remscheid, explains that the apartments that are most widely removed from the heating are usually worn out worse.
The cause of the inefficient heat distribution is the long way that the hot water has to cover up to the removed radiators. This problem could make numerous tenants considerably more difficult for the upcoming cold months.
