Remscheid welcomes the green turn: 26 solar panels for the SG Hackenberg!

In Remscheid, the club home of SG Hackenberg shines thanks to 26 brand new solar panels, which were recently installed on the roof. With an impressive performance of 445 watts per module, this system will not only secure the power supply of the association, but will also set a strong sign of sustainability. Managing Director Beate Wagemann and the 1st Chairman Joachim Weber said that the project could be quickly realized from a comprehensive renewal process due to the remaining funds.

These renovation measures not only increased energy efficiency, but also followed a greater renovation, which includes a new artificial turf pitch and a comprehensive refresher of the entire area. Mayor Burkhard Mast-Weisz also impresses this ambitious project: "The volunteers of the association set an important sign in terms of sustainability," says his praising words. The SGH invested less than 20,000 euros for the solar system and, after careful examination, decided to offer the Essen company Lumina Solar. The company's managing directors were confident that the investment will pay for itself after eight to ten years, which should bring significant savings to the association.
