Remscheid: outrage about new access regulation to the Eschbachtalsperre!
In Remscheid, a controversial decision by Autobahn GmbH ensures outrage. Drivers are no longer allowed to drive from Intzestrasse to the Eschbachtalsperre and Serways Hotel - access is only possible on the highway. This measure follows the removal of the sign "residents free" and for many means a detour of up to 15 kilometers. Mayor Burkhard Mast-Weisz (SPD) has already appealed to those responsible to rethink the decision.
In a reply letter, Thomas entirely, director of the Rhineland branch, explains that combating illegal entry into the highway is a decisive reason for the new signage. The clue from the district police authority showed that the old signage was unclear and attracted non -authorized vehicles such as bicycles and moped. Mast-Weisz showed up after a personal conversation with very dissatisfied and asked for an examination of the access options. The city will soon respond to the answer in writing, and Mast-Weisz joked that this was the beginning of a "beautiful pen friendship", while the search for a solution continues.
