School start in Remscheid: 12,800 students on the way back to the classroom!

Remscheid, Deutschland - The school started again in Remscheid! After two weeks of autumn holidays, around 12,800 pupils flock home on Monday, October 28th - a clear sign of school start in the current school year 2023/24. Current school statistics show that the number of students is noticeable for the first time this year. Drivers should be particularly careful, because many students make their way to their classes in the morning. Thanks to the time change, the kids are sleepy - but at the same time it gets dark faster in the evening, which requires special care when jogging and walking.

The students are distributed in Remscheid on various school forms: 4,445 elementary school students, 1,370 junior high school students, 3,055 high school students and 575 special needs students are just a few figures from the statistics that clarify how many young people return to class. The boys with 6,506 students put the majority compared to 6,290 girls. These numbers are reflected in the different types of school.
