Caution, Remscheid! Fraudsters vary as Sparkassen employees
Remscheid, Deutschland - The Stadtsparkasse Remscheid raises the alarm! More and more fraudsters are reporting to customers by phone or email and pretends to be bank employees. These brazen callers use spoofing techniques by displaying a legitimate savings bank phone number on the display. Particularly perfidious: You have sensitive information that you have obtained through phishing, including names of consultants and account numbers. "These incidents have been piling up recently," warns press spokeswoman Sandra Rossiter.
Customers should be careful! The Stadtsparkasse will never ask for personal data or activities on accounts by phone or email. It is advisable not to pass on PIN or TAN to third parties and not to approve any orders in the Pushan app. If in doubt, the bank advises you to contact your customer service (RS 1660) or the police immediately to prevent possible data abuse. Be careful and protect your data! Further information can be found in a recent report by www.waterboelles.de .
