Great fire in Nortorf: Five fire brigades in the night!

In the night of October 4, around 3:30 a.m., a major fire broke out in a barn in Nortorf, Steinburg district. Five fire brigades, including the volunteer weirs from Nortorf and Wilster as well as other units, were on duty to extinguish the flames. The emergency services faced the challenge of initially finding access to the overgrown property and needed almost two kilometers of hose pipes to transport enough water. Fortunately, the main building remained undamaged and there were no injuries.

The fire brigade does not exclude arson, especially with regard to the recent incidents in the nearby city of Wilster, where such offenses occurred more often.
