Jusos in Rendsburg: Coalition agreement criticized as the most anti -social!
On Saturday the extraordinary state conference of the Jusos Schleswig-Holstein took place in Rendsburg. On this occasion, delegates expressed sharp criticism of the federal party leadership, the election campaign and the current coalition agreement between the Union and the SPD. The guideline of the conference was entitled: "forward for a better morning - so that something left is left of the shop".
The delegates were dissatisfied with the coalition agreement and described him as the "most anti -social coalition agreement that the SPD has ever supported". Jannis Schade, the state chairman of the Jusos, criticized the leading SPD politicians Lars Klingbeil, Saskia Esken and Matthias Miersch as "architect of failure". Co-state chairwoman Imke Grützmann criticized the lack of a social democratic manuscript in the coalition agreement and expressed concerns about the climate goals and their implementation.
SPD members and vote on the coalition agreement
After the Bundestag election in February 2025, in which the SPD achieved its historically worst result with 16.4 percent, said the member of the state parliament Niklas Dürbrook that the negotiation results do not meet the SPD's promise to campaign. Dürbrook emphasized the need for a minimum wage of 15 euros and the securing of the pension level. The migration issues in the coalition agreement were also criticized as not social democratic. Fabian Vehlies, deputy state chairman, expressed concerns about the changes in the citizens' benefit and the points in the coalition agreement.
The SPD members are asked to coordinate the coalition agreement between 15 and 29 April 29. Nationwide, around 360,000 members can vote on the letter, whereby a participation of 20 percent is required to declare the vote to be valid. Over 1,700 members are active in the SPD district association Rendsburg-Eckernförde. At the end of the conference, the Jusos said that they cannot agree to the coalition agreement.
The coalition agreement, which was decided on April 9, 2025, comprises 144 pages and was responsible for Friedrich Merz (Union), Lars Klingbeil (SPD) and Markus Söder (CSU). In the discussions, politicians from Schleswig-Holstein also commented on the content of the coalition agreement, which includes the topics of poisonous world war ammunition from the North and Baltic Sea, reinforced coastal protection and compulsory insurance against elementary damage.
Serpil Midyatli, SPD state chairman, emphasized the intensive negotiations and described the coalition as a work coalition. She expressed confidence about investments in daycare centers, support for parents and a reform of parental allowance. In contrast, Stefan Seidler, member of the Bundestag of the SSW, expressed skepticism about the coalition agreement and demanded that the interests of national minorities take into account. He also criticized the national orientation of the coalition agreement.
Prime Minister Daniel Günther (CDU) praised the coalition agreement as an important signal for Germany, Europe and the world. In particular, he welcomed the reduction in electricity tax, the acquisition of skilled workers, and the introduction of basic security and increased returns in migration policy. Günther also expressed his commitment to renewable energies and the battery cell production for the automotive industry.
