Wave of protest against right -wing extremism: Demos throughout Germany!

In January 2025, demonstrations against right -wing extremism will be held again in various German cities. One of the rallies is planned for January 30th in Kiel, where the organizers of "Women Move" will gather in front of the CDU headquarters. The protest is directed against the behavior of the CDU in the Bundestag, which the day before together with the AfD voted for an union application to tighten migration policy. The beginning of the demonstration in Kiel is scheduled for 5 p.m. and around 1,000 participants are expected. The event is supported by the central educational and advice center for migrants, pier and Fridays for future.

This development is seen as a breakthrough of the so -called fire wall. The state parliament in Kiel had previously debated the migration plans discussed in the federal government in the morning at the request of the FDP. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp, the victims of National Socialism are also reminded.

The Bundestag recently decided to meet the stricter migration policy, at the CDU, AfD and FDP together for the application. This is the first time in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany that an application with votes from the AfD receives a majority.
