The future of the grinding river displeasure in the focus of the Economic Committee
On Wednesday morning, the state parliament's economic committee discussed intensively on the current situation of the grinding river displeased. The planned commissioning of the new "Missunde III" electrical grinding river between Kosel and Brodersby will continue to be delayed and is expected to take place until the end of next year.
The mayors of the affected region, representative of the Ministry of Transport, the former Transport Minister Bernd Buchholz and his successor Claus Ruhe Madsen were present in the committee. The question was particularly discussed, how long the 20 -year -old "Missund II" grinding can remain in operation. Despite her age, she surprisingly received a ferry certificate that is valid until 2028.
The current transport minister Madsen, however, warned that the ferry certificate does not guarantee that the ship will run without any problems by 2028. If a larger component had to be replaced, the ferry certificate would no longer be valid, and a new distribution according to current guidelines would probably not receive the "Missound II".
The former Minister of Transport Buchholz took on political responsibility for the delay in the new ferry, but at the same time defended their purchase under the circumstances.
The discussion in the Economic Committee illustrates the importance of the grinding river displeasure for the region and the challenges associated with their use. It remains exciting how the situation will develop in the coming months and whether Missound II can continue to guarantee reliable ferry operation.
