Tragic accident: Autolant dies during a collision with S-Bahn in Reutlingen ZH

A tragic incident shook the municipality of Reutlingen ZH on Monday afternoon when a 78-year-old driver died in a collision with an S-Bahn. The man's car was unfortunately on the rails when the quickly approaching S-Bahn had no chance to stop. The locomotive driver could not prevent the misfortune.

The Winterthur city police reported that the car driver might have strayed from the street and thereby landed on the tracks. Fortunately, nobody was injured on the train, but rail traffic between Oberwinterthur and Seuzach had to be stopped until around 9 p.m.

This sad collision again shows the importance of security in road traffic and fatal consequences when vehicles are unintentionally on rail tracks. It is a reminder to all road users to always be vigilant and attentive in order to avoid such accidents.
