Erftstadt is reminiscent: Hiking exhibition shows flood disaster 2021

A hiking exhibition entitled "Erftstadt does not forget" will be seen in Lechenich from Monday, October 7th and is reminiscent of the flood disaster of 2021, which caused massive damage in Erftstadt by constant rain and extremely high water. The exhibition shows personal items that were damaged during the flood, as well as newspaper clips and photos. It is intended to offer a room in particular to remember the dramatic events three years ago.

organized by the parish of Lechenich in cooperation with the mobile flood aid of the Diakonie, the exhibition is open to reconciliation until October 14 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, interested parties can visit the show until 2 p.m. This initiative is part of an ongoing support program for flood victims that offers weekly meetings for the joint processing of the experiences.
