Verkehrschaos on Autobahn 6: Current accident with chain reaction

Last Saturday there was an extraordinary incident on Autobahn 6 in the Wiesloch area in the Rhein-Neckar district, which led to hourly traffic chaos. A 43-year-old driver of a Skoda triggered a chain reaction that affected several vehicles.

The incident occurred around 10 a.m. when the Skoda driver noticed the traffic jam in front of a construction site too late and unchecked the rear of a Kia. Due to the force of the impact, the Kia was pushed onto a Mercedes, which led to the fact that a Mazda and a Volvo were also involved in the accident. The total damage resulted is estimated at around 50,000 euros.

Fortunately, no people were injured in the collision, but the highway was closed for several hours to clear the accident sites and fix the damage. The Walldorf transport service office has taken over the investigation to clarify the exact cause of the accident.

The incident illustrates the dangers of rear -end accidents and the importance of always adhering to a sufficient safety distance from the vehicle in front. Even if it went out lightly in this case, such accidents could have serious consequences and significantly impair the flow of traffic.
