On September 29, 2024, the Neustadt police alerted at 4:50 p.m. after reports about a suspicious driver. This was turned into BAB 65 at the Neustadt Nord junction into Branchweilerhofstrasse and showed atypical driving behavior. The vehicle was finally stopped in Schlachthofstrasse.

The police found strong alcohol smell during the check. A breath alcohol test resulted in alarming 1.65 per thousand! The onward journey was immediately prevented, the driver's license was secured. The driver had to undergo a blood sample. A clear case of drunkenness at the wheel - the danger to other road users was immense!
