Garbage cans in the city center in flames: Police are looking for witnesses!

On Wednesday night, several burning garbage cans in the city center caused excitement. At around 1:30 a.m., a police patrol noticed the fire in Bismarckstrasse and, thanks to a fire extinguisher, was able to avert further damage. Shortly afterwards, a passerby also reported burning waste bins in Papier Mühlstraße. The alarmed fire brigade was quickly used and brought the flames under control.

Despite the rapid intervention, there was slight damage to property on the house facade and a roller shutter. The total damage is estimated on a low five -digit amount. The police have started the investigation into the cause of the fire and asks possible witnesses to report on 0631 369-2620.
