Smoke alarm at Trier School: Evacuation without incidents!

On the morning of October 2, 2024, the Realschule Plus in Trier-Ehrang led to dramatic smoke development, which alerted the rescue control center at 8:05 a.m. The school management acted immediately and immediately evacuated the approximately 500 students. The fire brigade and emergency services quickly moved in, but it turned out that no open fire raged. The cause of the incident was work with a separator grinder that brought a wooden strip of a door to the cokeline and created the smoke. Fortunately, the classroom affected was empty at this time.

The evacuation went smoothly and the student body was allowed to return after thorough ventilation. Fortunately, no damage to property occurred. Nevertheless, the classroom was temporarily separated for safety. During the mission, the Trier and police fire department were deployed, which led to minor traffic disruptions in the area. Another fright failed - the students were safe!
