Dramatic rescue operations on the Spitzingsee: hikers in danger!

Spitzingsee, Deutschland - On Sunday, the Schliersee mountain rescue guard experienced a dramatic rush of missions around the Spitzingsee. Within a very short time, the rescuers had to supply three injuries. The first alarm went in at 2:20 p.m. when a 21-year-old MountainCart driver from Diedorf fell and seriously injured. Despite the helmet, she suffered a concussion and various bruises. Thanks to the rapid reaction of the mountain rescue service, she was brought to the valley and handed over to the emergency services.

The next emergency call was concluded

as soon as this mission was completed: a 52-year-old from the Rosenheim district had slipped on a hiking climb and had injured the ankle. Due to the remote location, the mountain rescue opt for air rescue with a helicopter. In the meantime, a colleague from the Munich mountain rescue service, who had to save another injured hiker, a 65-year-old, also on the ankle, near the lower Firstalm. The mountain rescue service advises hikers to prepare for the cold temperatures and the shorter days in order to get into the mountains safely.
