Customs investigations: suspected of undeclared work in Traunstein revealed!

Rosenheim, Deutschland - In a dramatic use, the main customs office of Rosenheim in the Traunstein district carried out a comprehensive examination for possible undeclared work on a construction site. A total of 24 customs officers searched the site where they met ten construction workers, including nine Syrians and a Yemen. According to the authorities, suspicions were awakened by subsequent social security registrations and inconsistencies in the working hours. The workers showed working hours, which were well over the billed hours, which suggests the presumption of a falling below the statutory minimum wage.

The customs officers were equipped with breathing masks during the controls, as asbestos work was obviously held. To ensure that no workers could escape, the customs officers acted in several teams. Due to the poor knowledge of German workers, an Arabic interpreter was consulted in order to obtain information about employment contracts, times and correct registration for social security. The results of this examination and possible consequences for the employer are still pending, as mentioned in the report of the main customs office at www.ad-hoc-news.de .
