Twelve -year -olds after an accident in Rosenheim: driver escapes, family desperately!

Rosenheim, Deutschland - On October 24, a 12-year-old student in Rosenheim was hit by a car on a pedestrian traffic light while she was on her way home from afternoon care. The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. when a driver turned left from Pernauerstrasse and caught the girl, even though the traffic lights were on green. Instead of helping, the driver screamed at the girl and fled from the scene of the accident. The police have now started investigations and is looking for an older man with a gray vehicle that could possibly be a jeep. So far, however, there are no specific indications of the driver.

days after the incident, the 12-year-old suffers from nightmares and feels unsafe when it comes to her way to school. Her mother reports that the daughter no longer wanted to go to school alone, which is heavily burdened by the family. "The accident could have ended very differently," says the worried mother. In Rosenheim there were already 31 similar cases of vehicle collisions with pedestrians this year, which increases the concerns about safety in road traffic. The police asks for information from the population to hold the fleeting driver accountable. Further details on this incident can be found at www.innsalzach24.de .
