120 Ironman distances in 120 days: Jonas Deichmann before world record at the Challenge Roth

A special event for the community: Deichmann's fantastic finish in Roth

Next Sunday, Jonas Deichmann, an enthusiastic triathlete, will take part in the official Challenge Roth after completing 59 long distances. Together with professionals like Patrick Lange, Anne Haug and Laura Philipp, he will start, accompanied by around 3,400 other individual starters. This event promises to become a real spectacle, also for the approximately 250,000 expected spectators.

Deichmann has struggled with some physical complaints in the past few months, including knee and back problems. Nevertheless, it is above all the mental challenge that demands him. The RaceWeek of the Challenge Roth comes at the right time to give it new motivation. He is looking forward to experiencing the "party mood" and the feeling of community that this competition brings.

The special thing about Deichmann's challenge is his world record attempt, in which he wants to cope with 120 Ironman distances within 120 days. This means that he swims 3.8 km every day, rides 180 km of bike and runs 42.195 km. It is an incredible endurance performance that will lead him to its limits and the best performance of 105 consecutive Ironman races in the shade.

While Deichmann had longer breaks between the disciplines in his previous triathlon around the world, he now completes all three sports on the same route every day. Overall, it will cover incredible routes in the 120 days: 456 km swimming, traveling 21,600 km and running 5063 km. This performance will not only test its own limits, but also be an outstanding example of the endurance and determination of an athlete.

The Challenge Roth is not only a sporting event, but also a celebration of the community and perseverance. The 250,000 expected spectators will cheer and support all other participants if they face this epic challenge. It is a moment when loneliness and isolation are overcome by the power of the community and the common goal. We can be excited to see how Deichmann and the other athletes will overcome these borders and appear to new top performance.
