an accident in Middle Franconia: Workers falls five meters deep
A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday (July 9) on a construction site in Thalmässing, in the Middle Franconia region. A worker broke through an Eternite plate on a hall roof during his work and fell five meters. The 50-year-old man suffered serious injuries, some of which are life-threatening, as a police spokesman confirmed.
The Eternit plate is said to be broken when entering the roof, which led to the tragic accident. The colleagues of the accident reacted immediately and alerted the emergency services. A rescue helicopter was sent to bring the seriously injured to a clinic in Nuremberg as soon as possible.
This work accident again illustrates the dangers that workers are exposed to on construction sites. A light also throws on the importance of safety precautions and appropriate equipment to prevent such tragic incidents.
