Oberkirch celebrates wine - Hannah I. crowned the new wine princess

On Friday, the 75th anniversary of the traditional Oberkirch wine festival was duly celebrated in Oberkirch. At the center of the event was Hannah Sprul's crowning with the new wine princess Hannah I, an event that visibly inspired the visitors. The celebrations began with a reception on the town hall forecourt, where the Musikverein Ulm delighted guests with lively music. The fool's guild Narrhalla from Renchen, in which the new wine princess is active, formed a festive trellis and thus supported the solemn ambience.

The big start was rounded off by a covered wagon ride through the city center. Mayor Gregor Bühler referred to the long tradition of the wine festival in his welcoming speech and recalled his predecessor Willi Stächele, who revived the tradition of the wine princess in 1988 after a long break. Bühler briefly transferred the word to Stächele, who referred to his successor Matthias Braun with a wink. Braun's initiative to start the strawberry queen was expected with curiosity, emphasizing what innovative ideas he had for the future of the festival.

The outgoing wine princess Karina Roth, who can look back on an impressive term with 78 events and more than 14,000 kilometers, ceremoniously presented the diadem to Hannah I. In her speech, Hannah I presented her motto for the upcoming term: "Experience enjoyment together."
