Sandro Roth from Windisch impresses as vice world champion in Copenhagen!
A Windischer Barista inspires the world with its coffee creations at the Vice World Cup
Sandro Roth from Windisch at the World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship in Copenhagen surprised everyone when he reached second place. The 36-year-old Barista competed against 22 talented participants from all over the world and convinced the jury with its unique creations.
Roth, who is already a two -time Swiss champion, won the Swiss championship last October. His participation in the World Cup in Taiwan in November 2023 served as a perfect preparation for this year's event in Copenhagen.
Roth has worked hard since the past two months to perfect his cocktails and prepare for the big competition. The jury impressed his concept, which combines Swiss culture with its profession as an industry designer.
A special note in Roth's creations was the use of red coffee in its cocktails instead of the usual brown coffee. This unexpected and creative decision did it from the other participants.
Sandro Roth discovered his passion for mixing coffee and alcohol during a 100-day project during Coronapandemic. This unusual combination fascinated him and ultimately led to his success at the Vice World Cup.
His home community in Windisch is proud of his performance and celebrates his success in recognition of his commitment and passionate work as a barista. Roth has proven that great goals can be achieved with hard work, creativity and an innovative spirit.
