Triathlon spectacle on the Main-Donau Canal: SKG Gersfeld Successful on the go

In Middle Franconia, a breathtaking sporting event recently took place, which captivated the people from the region. The world's largest long distance triathlon attracted over 3500 individual starters and around 700 seasons to Roth on the Main-Donau Canal. The goal: an incredible challenge consisting of 3.8 kilometers swimming, 180 kilometers cycling and running 42 kilometers.

The special thing about this event was the local heroes from Gersfeld, which the challenge stood. Two seasons of the SKG Gersfeld, consisting of motivated athletes, ventured onto the route to measure themselves with the best of the best.

The season "Knöarzböök 1" showed impressive achievements: Christoph Limpert swam 3.8 kilometers in 01:19.57 hours, followed by Peter Limpert on the bike with a time of 04: 31.35 hours. As a crowning glory, Cedric Hahl ran the marathon in 03: 05.33 hours and secured the team the remarkable 32nd place.

The team "Knöarzböök 2" also demonstrated his skills. Steffen Mehler swam in 01: 12.31 hours, Fabian Schmoll ran remarkable 180 kilometers of bike in 06: 01.50 hours and Daniel Heun completed the final marathon in 03: 23.35 hours. This team reached the respectable 172nd place and showed the relentless fighting spirit of the Gersfeld athletes.

The route was lined with around 300,000 spectators who provided a rousing atmosphere and cheered on the athletes on their way. The district of Roth was in a state of emergency when the athletes reached their limits and grew beyond themselves.

The overall victory with a new route record of 07: 23.24 hours secured the outstanding athlete Magnus Ditlev from Denmark. In the women, Anne Haug took the lead, with a remarkable time of 08: 02.38 hours.

The commitment and passion of the athletes, especially the cross -country skier from Gersfeld, showed the real importance of endurance and team spirit. An inspiring event that brought together the community and created unforgettable moments.
