Traffic accident in St. Ingbert provides two seriously injured - alcoholized drivers causes serious collision

A tragic traffic accident shook the residents of St. Ingbert on July 11th, 2024. Around 2:15 p.m. there was a serious collision in Südstrasse, which demanded two seriously injured people. A 56-year-old man from Saarbrücken, who was traveling with his refrigerated van, got on the oncoming lane due to a second sleep and broke up frontally with the oncoming car of a 59-year-old man from Blieskastel. The driver of the car suffered serious injuries, as did a 60-year-old woman from St. Ingbert, who was unfortunately involved in the accident.

The degree of alcohol of the refrigerator transporter was largely responsible for the accident. After a blood sample was removed from him and the driver's license was drawn in, he will now have to answer for the endangerment of road traffic. The Südstraße had to be locked for a full 2.5 hours for the accident.

This tragic collision again illustrates the dangers of alcohol consumption at the wheel and the catastrophe, which can be triggered by second sleep at the wheel. The seriously injured now fight for their recovery, while the residents of St. Ingbert are affected by an accident that occurred through the ruthless driving style of a single road user.
