Shock at the main train station: Syrian traveler attacks a policewoman!

In the early morning hours on October 1, 2024, a scandalous incident occurred in the regional express from Wolmirstedt to Magdeburg. A 22-year-old man from Syria presented an already used train ticket that was not valid. When the federal police intervened at the main train station, the man refused to cooperate with the officials and held on to a seating group.

The situation escalated when the suspect attacked a police officer, held her arm and pulled her on her hair. To ensure security, the man had to be brought to the ground and tied up. The search initiated then confirmed its identity and led to criminal proceedings for fraud as well as assault and resistance to enforcement officers. The attacked civil servant was able to continue her service despite the brutal attack.
