On October 7, 2024, a dramatic traffic accident occurred in Quedlinburg, in which a 53-year-old cyclist was seriously injured. At 11:25 a.m., a 21-year-old BMW driver wanted to turn left at the intersection Harzweg/on Schiffbleek, but overlooked the cyclist, who passed the intersection in green light. The collision led to a violent fall of the cyclist.
