Serious traffic accident on L66: Mrs. seriously injured, man light!

on October 8, 2024, around 5:00 p.m., there was a serious traffic accident on the state road 66 at the driveway to the federal highway 36. A 49-year-old man who was traveling with an Opel wanted to turn left at the Quedlinburg-Ost exit towards Braunschweig, but overlooked an oncoming Skoda who was driven by a 38-year-old woman. There was a serious collision, in which the Opel hurled on a traffic island while the Skoda crashed into a shelter.

The 38-year-old was seriously injured while the man was slightly injured. Rescue workers hurried to the scene of the accident and brought both to the Quedlinburg Clinic for treatment. Both vehicles were damaged so much by the accident that they were no longer ready to drive. The total damage amounts to around 15,000 euros. An investigation into negligent bodily harm was initiated against the 49-year-old.
