Schleuser arrested in Görlitz - illegal entry revealed!
On October 2, 2024, the federal police succeeded in a successful blow against smuggling crime in Görlitz! At 8:30 a.m., emergency services checked a Polish taxi at the city bridge. The 54-year-old driver had a Polish identity card, but the four fellow travelers-two women (25, 28) and two men (24, 28) from Ethiopia-were on the move without valid travel documents. The smuggler is now suspected of illegally introducing foreigners.
But that wasn't all! The officers came across a 27-year-old Bangladeschi on a motorway rest area on the Neisse, who also did not have a valid residence permit. This is now punished for unauthorized entry and stay. A security deposit of 120 euros was raised and the man was rejected directly to Poland. A clear success for border controls and the security in the country!
