railway track drama in Saxony: Young swans looking for help
In a heartbreaking incident, two half -fabriced young swans on a track track were found near Borna, Saxony, sitting next to her dead mother. The magnificent hump swan had apparently been hit by a train when trying to cross the rail track. The two young animals were visibly frightened and defenseless next to the carcass.
The surrounding ponds surrounded by meadows and fields usually offer protection and security for these majestic birds. However, the little ones were not yet able to fly and could not orient themselves back home alone. An attentive engine guide discovered the scene and alerted the federal police.
The rescue action
With a lot of sensitivity and sensitivity, the officials moved out to help the young swans. They were spent in transport boxes and handed over to the responsible district forester. Then they were exposed to a nearby pond near Tautenhain, where they are looked after and protected for the time being.
The swans, which were only grown up at two to three years, are still too young to cope alone. Usually they will be violated by the swan father at the age of nine months. It is therefore of great importance that the young animals are now being looked after by people to increase their chances of survival.
This sad story once again shows the close connection between man and nature and the need to protect and support wild animals, especially in situations like this one in which the young swans have lost their mother and are now dependent on the help of man.
