Rapid escape in Leipzig: Motorists without a license causes chaos!
A spectacular incident occurred in Leipzig in the evening when a 44-year-old driver of a Renault Megane was to be stopped by the police on Torgauer Strasse. Instead of stopping, he suddenly accelerated, initially rumbled into a police civil vehicle, then he touched a radio patrol car and fled, damaging two other parked cars.
The persecution took a dramatic end when the Renault driver lost control of his vehicle at a crossroads, ran over a traffic island and finally collided with a sign mast. He came to a standstill - right on a sidewalk. The driver, standing under the influence of drugs and without a valid driver's license, was provided by the officials. His vehicle was also not insured. Fortunately, nobody was injured. The 44-year-old is now charged with unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident and a dangerous behavior in road traffic, while the public prosecutor ordered his preliminary arrest. The property damage remains unclear for the time being.
