Spuklick rediscovery: The Lore brings Salzgitter to life!
The museum in Salzgitter has made a spectacular find: the "spuclore"! This mysterious, painted wooden figure, which dusted in the depot for centuries, will now be shown in the permanent exhibition. The legendary lore is said to have once woke up over the wealth of a house and have become alive at night in order to bring terrible mischief over careless residents. The story states that the terrifying figure in 1900 was even beheaded by workers from a canvas factory because it incorporated too much fear. Her head was saved while the rest of the figure was burned.
museum director Arne Homann is enthusiastic about the rediscovery: "The lore simply belongs to the museum!" He explains. At 12 p.m. on October 31, a “short visit” video will also be published on the city's YouTube channel, in which Homann presents the exciting part of Salzgitter history. And the team leader of the media center, Jeannette Rische, is certain: "This Salzgitter story is almost Hollywood!" Anyone who wonders whether the story is true should take a look at the "spuclore" and be enchanted by their strangely lively eyes. More information is available for this Here .
