Chaos in Lübeck: Accident with three vehicles - two injuries!

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. when a black Opel Corsa drove on Waldersestrasse in the direction of the intersection. The driver of the Corsa tried to turn into Schlutuper Straße, but noticed a red traffic light.

It is unclear whether the driver ignored the light signal or simply overlooked it. The driver himself remained unharmed, but the inmates of the other two vehicles suffered minor injuries and were brought to the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH). Due to the accident, the intersection was closed for about half an hour to take the necessary measures.

The 57-year-old passenger of the VW ID 5 suffered minor injuries, while the 61-year-old driver of the VW was unharmed.

The rescue measures included the help of first aiders and the use of the fire brigade, which had to cut the Peugeot with heavy equipment to free the injured driver. The injured were then taken to a hospital. The property damage was around 50,000 euros, and both vehicles were badly damaged and no longer ready to drive. An expert was sent to the scene of the accident to clarify the exact circumstances. Notes indicate that the 55-year-old driver of the Peugeot may have been incorporated into the crossing area at red.
