A spectacular accident in Glinde

An unusual incident occurred in Glinde on Saturday, August 10th. In a traffic accident, a small car got into a construction site area, which raises questions about safety and the processes in such places. As the initial investigations show, a gas and brake pedal can be guilty.

The course of the incident

The driver of a Kia had previously parked in a discounter parking and stowed his purchases. Shortly after 11 a.m., however, the situation took a dramatic turn. Suddenly he drove around a fence and across the Möllner country road, where there was a collision with an Opel Mokka that was occupied by two people.

Despite the impact, the Kia continued its journey. He rolled over a sidewalk, which luckily nobody went before he finally broke the fence of a construction site. The car overturned in the construction site area and landed on the roof.

Immediate aid and rescue measures

First aiders and the emergency services provided quick help on site. The injured driver was brought to a clinic after the first aid. The Glinde volunteer fire brigade was also in use and secured the fallen vehicle.
