Great progress: New school center combines Luitpold school and AKG!

In a solemn act, the Former vocational school building was officially inaugurated in the Mitte school center, after a comprehensive renovation that cost the city over 12 million euros. At the ceremony, Mayor Peter Reiss praised the successful collaboration of Luitpold School and Adam-Kraft-Gymnasium (AKG) and called the project a "effort", which was influenced by challenges such as pollutant loads and delivery difficulties. "Now we are experiencing a quantum leap in quality," he said about the modern premises that offer space for around 500 students.

The building is now equipped with a cafeteria, modern classrooms and leisure opportunities that should not only improve learning, but also the coexistence of the students. The headmistress Silke Blomeyer (Luitpold School) and Harald Pinzner (AKG) see the new premises as a big profit and as an ideal environment for an optimal teaching atmosphere. Architect Christoph Schmidt from BSS from Nuremberg also emphasized the value of the outdoor facilities for the students. According to Antje Döllinger, director of the state school office, the new rooms offer the opportunity to actively live inclusion and create a positive learning atmosphere.
