Summer scavenger hunt: discover Schweinfurt in a playful way!

The Schweinfurt city library has created an entertaining opportunity to bring children closer to the sights of their city during the summer holidays. An exciting scavenger hunt through the city center is waiting for children from the age of 10 who want to take part in this exciting journey of discovery.

The schnitzel hunt starts in the city library, where the children are asked about city history and books on the ground floor on Tuesday to Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The small participants lead these questions to ten different stations in the city center.

Each station offers the children the opportunity to test their knowledge and collect new information about their hometown. The participating locations include the city library Ebracher Hof, the art book cafe "Pictura", the antiquarian bookshop "Marc Lücke", the town hall with the exhibition "von A-Smiley", the Collibri bookshop, the Stadtarchiv Schweinfurt in the Friedrich-Rückert-Bau, the bookstores Hugendubel and Thalia, the artificial hall as well as the Thalia bookstore in the City gallery.

At the end of the scavenger hunt, the first 50 participating children can give up the answered quiz questions in the city library and receive a chip for a free ball in the ice cream parlor "del Corso". A delicious reward for successful participation in this entertaining and educational summer activity.

This campaign of the Schweinfurt city library shows how creative and interactive education can be conveyed. By linking games and learning, children are motivated to deal with their surroundings and still have fun. It is a great initiative that promotes the interest of the young generation of books, history and her hometown. - nag
