Quickborn: Cyclists injured after an accident - witnesses wanted!
An unfortunate incident occurred in Quickborn last Saturday, with an 87-year-old cyclist misfortune when a vehicle almost grasped it. The pensioner who was traveling with his pedelec decided to report the incident to the Quickborn police station on Monday.
The accident occurred on the bike path of Kieler Strasse around 1 p.m. when the cyclist from Bilsen drove towards Quickborn. Two cars came towards him, both of which intended to turn left into the Barmstedter Weg. The first car was able to turn in time, while the second driver apparently no longer had the necessary time. In a risky maneuver, this car accelerated strongly, which caused the cyclist to make an emergency braking and finally fell. He contracted injuries to the right knee and shin, while his pedelec was only slightly damaged.
