65 and 80: Hanne and Rolf-Peter Lacher conquer the Alps
65 and 80: Hanne and Rolf-Peter Lacher conquer the Alps
The Alps are a dream destination for many hikers, but not everyone dares to tackle this challenge. However, Hanne (77) and Rolf-Peter Lacher (80) from Gammertingen dared and made an impressive journey: in 13 days they crossed 234 kilometers through the Alps. This performance not only shows your personal determination, but could also inspire many people to cross their own limits.
Challenging Despite obstacles
The two experienced hikers who have already explored numerous countries on foot were faced with various challenges during their Alpine crossing. A smelled hiking trail turned out to be an extended exam. "We are hikers, not alpinists," replied Hanne Lacher and described the sometimes difficult and dangerous sections that required an immense physical exertion. The use of trekking sticks helped the couple to relieve their joints and maintain their motivation: "I said a few times, I do not know if I would hold out, but in the end it went," said Hanne, encouraged by her iron sake.
Age than less obstacle topic
The respectful reactions of younger hikers who encountered the couple are amazing. Many decide to have their tours organized and am amazed at the sight of this older, active couple: "Most can be organized by such tours, and the only problem is that," said Rolf-Peter. This attitude could also encourage other older people not to have to hide behind age through physical activity.
Common memories and joie de vivre
Immigration not only brings physical challenges, but also emotional closeness. Hanne and Rolf-Peter Lacher have been married for almost 55 years and have only discovered their passion for hiking in recent years. "We have so many common memories," said Rolf-Peter proudly. These activities not only strengthen physical fitness, but also combine the soul by sharing experiences and spending time together.
A call to active lifestyle
Your most sincere advice to the younger generation is to prepare for age by actively moving and not sinking into passive leisure activities such as television and the Internet. "You have to free yourself, go out and live," emphasizes Rolf-Peter, and that is exactly what he and Hanne Lacher continue to plan. The upcoming tour will still be uncertain, but one thing is certain: your thirst for adventure will continue to drive you as long as health allows it.
