The new mayor opens Bad Saulgauer Bächtlefest with lederhosen and wit

The Bächtlefest - a festival for the whole community

The traditional bachtef festival in Bad Saulgau was opened with great enthusiasm on Thursday evening. But this year it was not only the beginning of a popular folk festival, but also a special premiere for the new mayor Raphael Osmakowski-Miller.

Osmakowski-Miller, who entered the stage in traditional leather pants, took the opportunity to give the guests an insight into his humor by giving the classic joke from the "Scheifele and Eisele". A successful mix of festivity and personal touch.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the tapping, in which the mayor successfully opened the barrel with a total of five blows. A little challenge he mastered with flying colors. Since Osmakowski-Miller is not a beer drinker himself, as an alternative he received a jug with special from the President of the Citizens' Committee, Richard Frey.

The celebrations according to the official part showed that the Bächtlefest is not only a festival for the city of Bad Saulgau, but also an opportunity for the entire community to get together, celebrate and get to know each other better. It is a beautiful tradition that not only reflects the values and customs of the region, but also strengthens cohesion and connection within the community.
