SPHAUS Cup 2023: Local teams fight for fame and prize money in Scheer!
The spy cup is not only a football tournament, but also an important social meeting point for the community in the region. In its 24th edition, the event will be held in Scheer from July 24th to 28th. Despite the absence of last year's finalists, SV Hohentengen and FC Krauchenwies/Hausen/Göggingen, the organizing TSV Scheer has put together a promising field of participants, in which the newcomer SV Renhardsweiler also makes its debut in the spy arena.
Local connections and community spirit
The spy cup only attracts teams from the surrounding area, which underlines the regional character of the tournament. This concentration on local teams promotes neighborhood bonds and strengthens the community. The lack of defending champion SV Hohentengen, who cannot participate because of the WFV Cup, and FC Krauchenwies/Hausen/Göggingen, who chose the parallel crown cup, gives other teams the opportunity to play in the spotlight.
prize money and trophies: motivation for the teams
Another highlight of the spy cup are the attractive prize money. The winner receives 325 euros, while the runner -up goes home with 200 euros. Even the last can expect 25 euros, which also increases the motivation of the teams. Florian Gerhardt, head of football at TSV Scheer, emphasizes: "We are the football tournament in the area, which mostly most prize money releases." In addition to the cash prizes, there are also coveted trophies, such as the "golden glove" for the best goalkeeper and the "golden cannon" for the top scorer.
The participants: A look at the favorites
The U23 of the SC Pfullendorf successfully completed the past season in the Bodensee district league and is traded as one of the favorites. The SF Hundersingen , which were able to stay in the league after a dramatic district league final, are perceived as serious competition.
The meeting with the FC Ostrach also promises excitement, since Ostrach missed the promotion after a dominant performance last season with a 5-2 win against SV Uttenweiler. The SG Scheer/Ennetach , which also played heavily last year, can also concentrate on the games.
The field of participants is rounded off by the TSV Sigmaringendorf/Langenthal , the newcomer SV Renhardsweiler and the already established teams such as the SV Bingen-Hitzkofen and the SV Ölkofen , which is also well placed in the midfield of the Kreisliga B3
a varied supporting program
In addition to the exciting games, a supporting program is also offered. A women's launch game followed on Friday with a subsequent party night, while on Saturday the popular Gaudi elf shooting from 6:45 p.m. is on the program. Such events not only promote sporting competition, but also the sense of community and the joy of being together.
The spy cup is more than just a tournament. It offers a platform for local talents, promotes social cohesion and is an annual highlight in the region's event calendar. The TSV Scheer and the participating teams hope for exciting games and an unforgettable atmosphere.
