Zollernalb athletes shine at the U14 competition in the Flosschenstadion!

In the Sindelfinger Flosschenstadion there was an exciting comparison competition of the U14 youth, in which over 200 athletes from nine athletics circles fought for the best places. The district selection of Zollernalb was represented with a strong group, including talented athletes from TSG Balingen, TSV Geislingen and VfL Ostdorf. Despite the cool and rainy conditions, the young athletes showed remarkable achievements, with sick athletes being missing, but who did not discourage the team.

The Zollernalb boys achieved sixth place in the M12 age group with 25 points. Thanks to solid services, including a third place in the javelin throw and long jump, they used their potential. The M13 group, on the other hand, had to be satisfied with eighth place, despite a pleasant third place in the high jump. The W12 girls secured fifth place with 26.5 points, while the W13 athletes took third place with only 41 points, behind the strong competitors from Ulm and Ludwigsburg. The highlight was the daily victory of the mixed sprint relay, which shone with a time of 40.42 seconds. In total, the Zollernalb athletics group with 124.5 points landed on a respectable sixth place, behind the powerful teams from Ulm/Alb-Donau, which won the competition.
