March of life in Speyer: Sign against anti -Semitism and for Israel

Sign of solidarity: Speyer combines in the "March of Life" against anti -Semitism

Next Sunday Speyer will be the scene of an important event: the "March of Life", a movement against anti -Semitism and for friendship with Israel, will be guest in the city for the first time. Under the motto "Am Israel Chai - the people of Israel lives", the march starts at 2.30 p.m. on Maximilianstrasse. The route leads, among other things, past the historic Jewish courtyard and ends at 4 p.m. with a final rally on St. Guido-Stifts-Platz.

The movement "March of Life" was founded in 2007 and has since been organizing memorial and reconciliation marches around the Jewish-Israeli Holocaust Memorial Day in early May. Anti -Semitism has increased worldwide in particular after the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. For this reason, it is of great importance for the co -organizer Sieglinde Binder to make a clear sign against any form of anti -Semitism and to stand clearly to the side of the Jewish people.

The march of life stands not only for memory and reconciliation, but also for solidarity and connection with the Jewish community. Especially in times when anti -Semitic tendencies are on the rise again, it is important to send a strong signal of support together.

The visit to the “March of Life” in Speyer therefore offers the opportunity for citizens to actively participate in combating anti -Semitism and to show their solidarity with Israel. Every participation in this march is an important sign of support and a contribution to strengthening the community.
