Retirement after 35 years: Thorsten Bruns is solemnly adopted!

Landkreis Stade, Deutschland - After 35 years in the service of the Stade district, it is time for Thorsten Bruns to say goodbye. District Administrator Kai Seefried said goodbye to the deputy head of the fire and rescue control center in a solemn ceremony and paid tribute to his decades of commitment to the security of the citizens. "I thank you for your many years of commitment and wish you all the best for retirement," said Seefried.

The farewell was not only emotional, but also spectacular: Bruns was picked up with a fire brigade classic car for the last layer, while colleagues honored him with applause. Bruns started his career in 1989 as a dispatcher and has been a permanent representative of the head since 2017. Before his time at the district, he was active as a paramedic assistant and in the volunteer fire brigade, where he served as a train driver. Now a new phase of life begins for the 64-year-old after making a significant contribution to security in the district. You can find out more in a report on www.landkreis-stade.de Read.
