Angel flags for the hope: Children's life run in Inning starts

The children's life run 2024 caused a sensation this year in Germany with a special patronage and prominent support. This run, which started in Berlin on April 18, has set itself the goal of drawing attention to the challenges of families with seriously ill children. It is accompanied by numerous helpers who transport the so -called angel torch and thus set a strong sign of solidarity.

An important highlight of the run was the participation of the triathlon world champion from 2021, Anja Kobs. Last Saturday she brought the torch from Inning to Starning, accompanied by large and small citizens of the community. This connection between sport and social engagement shows how public personalities can also draw attention to such important topics. Kobs ’use is not only a sporting nature, but also contributes to sensitization of the population.

The Foundation for Outpatient Children's Hospice Munich (AKM) has actively participated in the children's residence run in order to illustrate the need for support for families in crisis situations. Elisabeth Kern, a representative of the foundation, emphasizes the urgency, volunteers and donors. The initiatives in the district of Starnberg and the surrounding area show how important local commitment is to improve the quality of life of the families concerned.

The children's life run is not only an event that leads through Germany, but also a campaign that reflects the common responsibility of our society. "The initiative received support from many people in the Starnberg district and beyond," reports Kern. This support comes in various forms - from the accompaniment of the torch to the cooperation in hospice to fundraisers.

The torch trip will continue until October 13th, which ends with the World Hospice Day. The final event takes place in the Europa-Park in Rust, where there is a big final party. This continuous commitment to children's hospice work is indispensable to give affected families a voice. Kern sums it up: "We want to bring the affected children and their families out of the sidelines in the middle of society."

The Inninger Center is an important part of this movement. Founded in 2016, it helps families across the entire region, including the five-sea country to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Further information on the services of the facility can be found on Kinderhospiz-muenchen.de .
