Celebration mood in Frieding: Fire brigade and rural youth open new house

At a large inauguration ceremony, the volunteer fire brigade and the rural youth inaugurated its new tool shed on Schüertalstrasse with around 400 guests. While the rain fell outside, the mood beamed inside: tables and benches filled the hall in which brass music caused musical entertainment. A festive move was originally planned, but it fell into the water because of the bad weather.

The new fire brigade house is the result of many years of planning - the fire brigade and the rural youth had been waiting for this moment. Mayor Georg Scheitz remembered the beginning of the search for a new home. The decision to give up the old school building was made after heated discussions, but now the community is inseparable. The rural youth has also found space in the new rooms and is already working from the new location, while the old building is to be sold to refinance part of the construction costs of 2.3 million euros.
